Ajit Phadnis is one of the founding members of Lok Satta Party in Karnataka. Actively engaging in party work for the last 5 years, he has led efforts to build strong relations between the media and the party, facilitating numerous media interactions and articulating the ideological messages of the party in ways that can reach and be easily understood by the public. He contributes to discussions on election campaign strategy and was appointed by the LSP State President as an Advisory Committee Member. He has been involved in drafting multiple election manifestos, and believes that the future for Lok Satta in electoral politics is very bright.
Ajit had the privilege of being educated in two of India’s premiere institutions, graduating with an MBA from IIM Bangalore and in Engineering from IIT Bombay. He is currently pursuing the doctoral programme in public policy at IIM Bangalore, and has consulted for various projects on education, health, poverty and state planning with the Karnataka State Government and the Inter-parliamentary Union (IPU). In 2008, he was one of the 5 researchers selected from across the country by the Honourable Speaker Shri Somnath Chatterjee to pursue the Lok Sabha Internship - a great political exposure for him as he interviewed 100 Members of Parliament to get an intricate understanding of the working of our parliamentary democracy. The Anniversary Issue of Daily News & Analysis (DNA) newspaper recognised him as one of ten "Emerging Influentials" in Bangalore for 2012.
